Vegan Chocolate Crossies Recipe

Vegan Chocolate Crossies recipe made with vegan chocolate and whole bran flakes. One crossie dessert is under 100 calories and even contains small amounts of vitamins and minerals. Great vegan snack for on the go, for chocolate cravings, or for bringing to a party.

Are you ready for a super quick chocolate recipe that is also very delicious?

Growing up, I used to eat choco crossies all the time. Back then I wasn’t vegan, and these treats were also pretty expensive. It is super easy to make these vegan choco crossies at home. All you need is vegan chocolate and unsweetened whole bran flakes.

Nutrition of the Vegan Chocolate Crossies

The recipe below (one batch) makes about 8 crossies. One crossie contains 86 calories, 12 g carbs, 4 g fat, 1.2 g protein, and 2 g fiber. The carb to fiber ratio is very good considering this is a sweet treat. One crossie alone also contains between 4% and 11% of B-vitamins, 1.1 g iron, and some zinc.

You can find vegan chocolate at most stores. They might not be labeled as vegan so you have to read the label. The ones that are vegan are mostly dark chocolate.

You can melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a small pan on the stove. NOT ALL chocolates will melt in the microwave so you might want to test a small piece first. If you are not sure, go the safe route and melt it in a small pot.
