All immune booster smoothies are vegan and whole food plant based. No inflammatory oils or added sugar used.
How can I boost my immunity?
There are many ways to boost your immune system, but here are the top three ways to strengthen immunity:
#1 Get enough sleep
A study found that shorter sleep duration (less than 6 hours per night) can increase susceptibility to the common cold. So aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night to maintain a strong immune system.
#2 Eat more plants
There are many benefits of a whole food plant based diet. Eating more plants will increase fiber intake and improve gut health. A healthy gut is necessary for a strong immune system.
The increased fruit and vegetable intake with a plant based diet will boost your vitamin and mineral intake and improve your immune response.
On study found that older people who eat 5 or more servings of fruits and veggies a day (compared to less than 3) had an 82 percent greater protective antibody response (source).
5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day is an achievable dietary goal and has many benefits, including improved immune function.
Preparing smoothies is a great way to get 1-3 servings of fruits and veggies into your diet with just one delicious drink.
#3 Exercise moderately
“It is generally accepted that prolonged periods of intensive exercise training can depress immunity, while regular moderate intensity exercise is beneficial.” (source)
What is moderate exercise?
During moderate exercise it is a bit harder to talk, but you are still able to talk. To be more specific calculate your “moderate exercise” heart rate goal based on your resting heart rate. Click here to find instructions. Also check out the CDCs guidelines on exercise here.

Is it good to drink a smoothie every day?
Based on the tips above, including a smoothie in your daily routine can improve your vitamin, mineral, and fiber intake drastically and therefore improve your overall health and immune system.

Best ingredients for immune builder smoothies
Some of the best immunity boosting foods that are also great to add to smoothies are:
- Ginger
- Cashews
- Turmeric and cinnamon
- Flavenoid rich foods (apples, blueberries, cocoa, green tea)
- Cruciferous vegetables
- Apple cider vinegar
- Leafy greens
How to meal prep smoothies?
To meal prep smoothie, chop all the fruits and vegetables into chunks. You can use mason jars to store your mix. Add all ingredients for each smoothie into the jars, except the liquid. Close the jar tight with a lid. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days (depending on your produce).

Once it is time to make the smoothie, pour the plants into a blender, then add the liquid and blend. I use a Vitamix, but there are other blenders that work as well!
Be sure to drink your immune builder smoothie slowly!
