I recently realized that I don’t have a lot of kitchen machines, even though I love cooking and baking and spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
One amazing kitchen tool that I always use is a hand blender. I thought it would be great to show you all the ways to use it. The blender is a powerful tool that can replace a few kitchen machines. As a result, you can save a lot of space in your kitchen cabinets.
Benefits of a Hand Blender
Hand Mixer Positives and Negatives
Positives of the Hand Blender
- The small tool replaces bigger tools and saves space
- It works on frozen fruits (if they are mixed in a little bit of liquid it is easier)
- Affordable (you can check the prize HERE)
- Powerful motor
- Easy cleaning (dishwasher safe)
- Cool colors
- Comes with fitting blending cup (2 cups) for less mess and easy pouring (dishwasher and microwave save)
- Motor is quiet
- Long enough cord
Negatives of a Hand Blender
- Pushing the button while blending gives me a cramp in my hand sometimes.
- Cuisinart’s customer service is great, but very slow. (Recently got a coffee machine replacement. Took almost 3 month to get a new one, but hey at least we got a new one!)

You might have seen some of my smoothie recipes already. I love smoothies! They are full of vitamins, minerals and fiber. They give you energy throughout the day and help with losing weight. This blender works great with frozen fruits and baby spinach. You will see tiny spinach chunks, but you wont feel or taste them.
You can sign up for a smoothie challenge course that I am currently teaching by entering your email. This is totally FREE and a lot of fun. Shopping list provided!
Soups are such a healthy meal. My family loves tomato soup with grilled cheese. You can also blend potato soup, pumpkin soup, butternut soup, broccoli soup, and many more. Just cook the vegetables until they are soft and blend everything together. Read the fresh tomato soup recipe HERE.
#3 Pies and Cakes
The Cuisinart hand blender works for the softer, more liquid dough just perfect. If the dough is more dry and hard to blend, I honestly just use my hands to mix it together! I used a hand blender in the Russian Apple Pie Recipe with Fresh Apples. It will mix all ingredients and chop the nuts at the same time!

#4 Baby’s first Solid Food (Baby puree)
If you have a baby and try to get him/her to eat solid foods, you can use your hand blender to make a puree. This is a great way to introduce your baby to a new taste and texture. You can make very healthy purees out of vegetables, grains and meats or fruit purees. My Baby’s first solids recipes came from a doctor and they provide all the nutrition the baby needs.
