Frugal spaghetti recipe and you will spend only $0.97 per plate. This is a great family dinner recipe for a quick and cheap preparation.

Yields: 4

  • 16 oz. spaghetti
  • 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 1 t dried oregano
  • 1t dried basil
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey(or ground beef)
  • (optional: parmesan)
  1. Cook spaghetti according to package.
  2. Brown ground meat and when done add crushed tomatoes
  3. Season with herbs and salt and mix the sauce.
  4. Drain spaghetti and top with sauce and optional parmesan cheese.
  • Total time: 20
