Healthy green smoothie with Apple blueberry and bananas.

Benefits of Smoothies

Fitness and staying healthy is one of my passions. Smoothies really help me to get a better nutrition and boost my immunity. Here are some more reasons to drink smoothies:

  • Boost your immunity
  • Get better nutrition
  • Stay or get healthy
  • Feel more energized and fit throughout the day
  • Higher intake of fiber, minerals and vitamins
  • Help lose weight
  • Show you ways to make healthy snacks (2go)

You are supposed to eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day to meet you vitamin, mineral and fiber needs. Even though the best way to consume all the vitamins is to simply eat them, a lot of people don’t have the time or can’t handle the taste. Especially with kids and toddlers it can get a little frustrating providing them with a balanced diet.

Today’s smoothie contains 1 servings of vegetables and 3 servings of fruit. It is the ultimate vitamin boost and I promise you will not taste the greens!

Apple-Blueberry-Banana Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cup baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • water
  • Hand Blender or Nutri Ninja

You can mix all ingredients in your mixing cup and start blending. I love to use the Nutri Ninja to make my smoothies. This machine is so powerful and blends EVERYTHING! Fill half the cup with water, or as much as you like for your desired consistency.

For the 21 day fix count: 3 purple, 2 green.
