What happens after the week is over?

You can either repeat this meal plan, or make your own meal plan with similar recipes to follow he same diet. Make sure to avoid acne triggers, and include plenty of whole plant foods. You can also introduce one food item back into your diet for one week to see if this one is an acne trigger. If you stay clear, you can keep this food item in your diet and test another one. 

Does the meal plan include meat?

No, the meal plan does not contain meat, oils, fish, eggs, dairy, or other animal sourced ingredients. This is to lower acidic food and saturated fat intake. The meal plan contains nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, green tea, vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains. These are all unprocessed anti-inflammatory foods with a high nutritional value.

Do I need to take supplements?

I do not recommend taking supplements unless suggested by your primary care physician. It might be a good idea to get your blood checked for any deficiencies, thyroid issues, or other problems that might be the underlying cause of acne or hormone imbalance. The meal plan should cover all necessary vitamins and minerals, except vitamin D which you can get through sunshine, or supplements if recommended by your doctor.
