Adding lentils to your diet can boost your weight loss progress and they are very affordable. I bought the lentils for under $ 1.50 in my local grocery store and they double/triple in size after cooking. I like to make a big batch of lentils and then add them to my morning chocolate oats, my salad or other recipes.

Then place the diced vegetables in a pot with 5 cups of water and simmer until the carrots are soft. Finally mix the lentils into the soup and season with salt, pepper and ginger. Enjoy!

21 DAY FIX LENTIL SOUP

1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow container, or 250 calories and 15.5 g protein per serving.

Yields: 4

  • 3 cups cooked lentils
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1.5 cups carrots, diced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes ( about 2 medium potatoes)
  • 1 T ground ginger (fresh)
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup kale
  • 5 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  1. Cook your lentils according to the package.
  2. Then place the diced vegetables in a pot with 5 cups of water and simmer until the carrots are soft. Finally mix the lentils into the soup and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Enjoy!
