1st Blogging Income Report November 2016
Today I want to share with you my first and small blogging income report November 2016. I think that showing how my blog income started out and how it will progress is a motivation for other bloggers.
I hope to make an income with blogging at one point and until then I will celebrate every small step.

I started my blog in June 2016 and had no idea what I was doing. I had little time and would blog for a couple of hours every once in a while. My page views in June 2016 averaged 28 and grew to 46 in July. Now I average over 600 page views per day.
There is so much to learn at the beginning when you start a blog. After a while I installed AdSense and made a few pennies. I also installed affiliate links but nobody would ever buy anything. I felt stuck so I decided to take a class called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing.
This class is more affordable than most and it provides a Pinterest strategy. After implementing some tools I learned in the class my pageviews started to grow and I made my first 5 affiliate sales. They are still small sales, but at least I figured out how it works. There is still so much I haven’t tried yet that the class provides.
I highly suggest investing in Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. If you are interested you can click on the picture below.
Income Report November 2016
Affiliate Sales (Amazon Associates): $2.41
Averaging Pageviews Noveber: 419
Costs: $5 Boardbooster
Take Home: $19.26
I did not include the expense of my webhosting through Bluehost, since I got that on a deal in June and paid for the whole year back then.
Towards the end of November I switched my BoardBooster Plan from 500 pins to 1000 pins ($10) and applied to more group boards. You can see a little dip between Nov 21 and 26. Pinterest had difficulties and did not run well. Pictures wouldn’t show up and therefore less people were tracked on the site. That is why it is so important to build your email list.
Above, you can see the average page views per day. For comparison, below is how much I made each month with AdSense
July $0.79 (46 PV a Day)
August $8.57 (352 PV a Day, this jump is because I installed BoardBooster)
September $9.59 (237 PV a Day)
October $13.97 (244 PV a Day)
November $21.85 (419 PV a Day)
How I Did It
After the Pinterest recovery I now average over 600 page views per day in December. There are multiple reasons for this increase.
- Upgraded BoardBooster from 500 pins to 1000 pins a month
- Implementing more strategies I learned from the class Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing
- Following and posting relevant blog content more often
- Improving my pictures with professional stock photos and learning about food photography
The BoardBooster program helped me so much with gaining more page views. I still pin my content manually here and there and also pin 30-50 pins from other bloggers a day. Another great help is participating in Facebook Group Threads to exchange content.
After the short breakdown of Pinterest, I realized how important it is to work on my email list. That is why I signed up for Convertkit to improve my email list. This program increased my subscribers from 24 to 72 in a period of 2 weeks. It allows me to offer free email courses and easy to download content for new subscribers. I received a free one month trial, relieving any anxiety I initially had about using the program. So far, so good!
Goals for The Future
- Increase to 1000 page views per day and install mediavine
- Start a new email course
- Work on my affiliate marketing strategy
- Try to make at least $40 to pay for Convertkit and Boardbooster.
I obviously would love to make more than $40 since my expenses in December will be $40. But I also know that I have to invest in my own business before I see great results.
