This meal is very frugal and fast to prepare. It makes a great vegetarian dinner and if you like pesto, try to make your own with avocados! I used the fresh basil leaves, but dried basil should do too. I have to mention that the fresh basil will give it a better taste.

How to prepare the Avocado Pesto Recipe
Cook the spaghetti according to the instruction on the package.
Mix all ingredients for the avocado pesto together and either mix with a blender or just mash with a fork.
If you want a real pesto flavor you need fresh basil leaves. It really makes a difference. I like that the plant will just regrow the leaves and I don’t have to buy that ingredient over and over.
It is worth having your own little kitchen herb garden. You can use most of the herbs in basically every Italian recipe.
Split the spaghetti and the pesto into 4 parts. You won’t need a lot of pesto for one serving because it is very rich and spreads nicely.
